KSST is private-pay only. And there is a specific reason for this. I plan evaluations and treatment to best meet your child’s needs. My mission is to help your child with communication and see the joy on you and their face when they’re communicating very well. In other words, not in order to have a big insurance payday or to string you along through excess years based on other parameters. I’m hell bent on providing as much value as I can without the dictation or permission of insurance.
However, I do provide superbills. That way you can have the option of getting reimbursed from your insurance company throughout the therapy.
And I know how it feels to see your child become frustrated. To feel withdrawn from others and even sometimes downright embarrassed because of poor communication skills. Over the last few years, I try to give each family the tools they need to see real improvement in their child’s communication. To see them flourish and happily interacting with others, sharing their interests, and telling you about their day clearly.
I want your kids to love coming to therapy! I find what is personally motivating for them, so they put in their best effort and work hard to accomplish the goals because it’s actually really fun!
I want my families to feel like they know what is going on, without sugar coating. I cannot promise that your child will talk one day, but I don’t ever want us to stop trying to help them find their voice. I will provide the best alternative solutions to speech if that is where we need to go in order to give the child their best chance at speech and interacting with others. I want to unleash each child’s full capabilities with communication.
I want to teach my families what I know as much as possible. So you can feel empowered in your therapeutic decision and understand what we want to accomplish. I love getting to know families, what is important to them, and working together to give your child the best experience. I try to stretch their capacities to keep pushing a little further. To break the communication barrier as much as possible by getting to their level.
